To all of my Life Done Simply friends,

In this time of uncertainty, know that I am thinking of you and your family and I hope that you are finding comfort and peace in your surroundings. There are no blueprints for this experience, so many of us are searching for the best path forward and looking to one another for guidance and support.

A friend recently shared her years-long experience with social distancing. She has struggled with severe chronic pain for several years, and she is no stranger to being confined to her home. She understands the frustration of being unproductive when you feel like you shouldn't. She has learned the importance of letting go of expectations and taking care of oneself during a time of stress and uncertainty. Her advice for all of us right now: Take care of yourself first.

There has been an uptick in social media engagement and the unhealthy comparisons that come along with it. Besides the non-stop coverage of COVID-19, there are countless articles informing us how we can make use of our new-found time with beautifully produced photos showing us how it is supposed to look and feel. Be mindful of the effect this information is having on you. A recommendation for your time shouldn't make you feel anxious. If it does, perhaps it is too much to consider right now.

If an urge to declutter or re-organize arises naturally for you during this time, follow that urge. If you are looking for resources or encouragement for a project, I would love to help. Physical clutter blocks inner calm, and we could all use more calm right now. But, I encourage you to follow the advice of my dear friend- take care of yourself first. You can always declutter and organize after the storm.

With love and gratitude,

Aimee
